In Villupuram district, 18 persons tested positive, taking the total cases to 45,573.
Kallakurichi district reported 12 positive cases, taking the district’s tally to 31,062.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly R. Ashok were engaged in war of words over the Lok Sabha election results on Tuesday, with the former calling the latter “ignorant and entertaining people”.
