
Cross-dresser in Bengaluru stabbed to death by gay partner

Pradeep, a 32-year-old cross-dresser staying in an apartment in Bengaluru’s BTM layout area, was stabbed to death by his gay partner on May 30. The accused, Rakshith, an auto-driver, is absconding and police are investigating the matter.
A cross-dresser in Bengaluru, who was living in a rented apartment in the guise of a woman, was stabbed to death by his gay partner. The deceased, a 32-year-old man identified as Pradeep, was living in the apartment in BTM layout for three months.
The accused, Rakshith Gowda, an auto driver, had come to the victim’s house in an inebriated state, reported The New Indian Express. Pradeep reportedly slapped Rakshith and a fight ensued.
According to the police, Pradeep was the first to stab Rakshith. Enraged, Rakshith snatched the knife and stabbed Pradeep in the abdomen and left arm repeatedly.
Rakshith then locked the doors of the apartment from outside and fled the scene.
Police discovered the incident when neighbours complained of a foul stench coming from the apartment. The building’s caretaker, Suresh, informed the police, according to a report by The New Indian Express.
Police discovered the crime on June 2 and suspect that the crime took place after May 30.
Upon examining the CCTV cameras, Madiwala Police discovered a man leaving Pradeep’s flat at midnight on May 30.
