The government has announced centralised helpline. It is called @srinivasiyc,'' tweeted author and human rights activist Aakar Patel this week. Admittedly, Patel is a strident critic of the BJP government. But here he was cheekily giving expression to how BV Srinivas, the Indian Youth Congress (IYC) chief has become the most visible help provider - government or non-government - during this Covid nightmare. Such is the trust factor that for so many seeking help for their near and dear ones, an SOS to @SrinivasIYC now means help is assured.
