CPI(M), Cong. to contest more seats in Kozhikode

With the Assembly elections around the corner, both the CPI(M) and the Congress are planning to field their own nominees in seats contested by their partners in Kozhikode district last time. Local leaders of the two mainline parties have apprised their State forums that their nominees should make it to the Legislature in the context of a political churning taking place in the State. Of the 13 Assembly segments, the CPI(M) and the Congress have been generously offering winnable seats to their constituents in keeping with the coalition policy.
