After the suspension of offline classes in at least three schools due to Covid infection among students, parents have expressed their scepticism about sending their wards to institutes.
With at least three schools having shut offline classes due to Covid infection among students, the associations of parents of schoolchildren in Noida and Ghaziabad are sceptical about sending their children to the institutes.
So far, three schools in the two cities have suspended offline classes till next week after students tested positive and many others are reviewing the situation.

"As of now, the situation looks under control. We have received multiple communications from the school regarding Covid protocols and the suspension of certain offline classes after Covid cases were found. We will monitor the situation after the weekend and see if sending the children to in-person offline classes is safe," said Neeti Srivastava, president of the parents’ association in Greater Noida.

The district administration, however, maintains that there had been no spurt in Covid cases.
"We are sending test kits to schools that are informing us about Covid cases. We are also sanitizing the classrooms of affected schools," said Manoj Kushwaha, district surveillance officer.
