Covid-19 vaccination: Most Indian districts have covered less than 10% of their population
India Today
District-wise analysis shows that the first dose of approved Covid vaccines has been administered in only 5 per cent of all districts in India.
Mass vaccination is our only hope to flatten the Covid-19 curve. However, more than three months since the programme's rollout, India seems to have barely scratched the surface, data shows. The district-wise vaccine rollout numbers analysed by India Today Data Intelligence Unit (DIU) show that only 37 of the 726 districts (just 5 per cent) reviewed have administered at least one dose of vaccine to 20 per cent or more people so far. According to CoWIN app data, two of the best performing districts are Mahe in Puducherry and Jamnagar in Gujarat. Data shows they have already covered nearly a third of the population in terms of at least one dose.More Related News
