
Court sends suspected members of Pak-backed terror module to 10 days' police remand

With the arrests of seven individuals, the Delhi Police Special Cell busted a suspected ISI module earlier this month which officials say was planning bomb blasts in parts of the country.
Seven men suspected of planning bomb blasts in different parts of the country have been sent to 10 days' police remand. Arrested by the Delhi Police Special Cell earlier this month, the individuals were produced before a court on Wednesday.
Investigators familiar with the case also revealed that the seven suspected members of this 'ISI module', who are now in custody, travelled to different parts of the country in recent months. The purpose of these trips is yet to be ascertained.

Two years ago, former Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina warned of an alleged plot by a 'white man' to establish a Christian state. In 2025, the Mizoram CM said Ukraine war veterans were using the state to enter Myanmar. The arrest of 7 foreign nationals by the NIA has prompted experts to suggest that the incidents might be connected.

Pradyut Bordoloi was a dyed-in-the-wool Congressi who vowed to never leave the party.
