Contra Returns, 90s classic game, comes on mobiles, pre-registrations open for Android, iOS

Contra is getting a makeover for smartphones and will come as Contra Returns for Android and iOS devices later this month. It retains the essence of the classic 90s game while adding a modern twist to it with new characters, weapons and more.

It is very difficult to recall the number of hours I have spent on Contra, the game many of us fondly remember as one of our iconic childhood memories. Thankfully, it does not have to remain so, as its developers are now set to bring it back to life. Contra is coming back with a modern twist for mobile platforms. This time, it will be named Contra Returns and will retain the game’s original side-scrolling gameplay. The game is set to release on July 26 for both iOS and Android.
