Congress protests in Hyderabad against PM Modi’s policies, accusing him of compromising India's sovereignty and national interests.
A large-scale protest was organised in the city on Saturday by Khairatabad (Hyderabad Central) District Congress Committee targeting the Central government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi over alleged compromises in India’s national interests.
The protest march was held from the Babu Jagjivan Ram Statue to the Jawaharlal Nehru Statue in Hyderabad. A massive 100-foot banner reading ‘PM IS COMPROMISED’ was displayed during the rally, drawing significant public attention.
Addressing the gathering, Khairatbad DCC president Motha Rohit Mudiraj alleged that PM Modi had compromised India’s sovereignty, particularly in relation to the India–US trade deal. He further claimed that the Central government succumbed to the pressure from the United States in connection with legal cases reportedly involving industrialist Gautam Adani.
Senior Congress leaders including AICC Secretary in-charge of Telangana Sachin Sawant, former MP V. Hanumantha Rao, party leaders Feroz Khan and Vijaya Reddy were present at the protest.
