The Jorhat Kenduguri Bihu committee has, instead, purchased an ambulance using its funds to support the medical system of the state. On Saturday, Assam reported 2,236 new Covid-19 cases, with a positivity rate of 3.24 per cent. Rongali or Bohag Bihu heralds the Assamese new year and is marked by celebrations that span the entire month across the state.
