Chennai Traffic Police appeal to public to utilise special buses for Ayudha Pooja holidays

The Chennai Traffic Police have announced new traffic and special bus arrangements for people who will travel to various districts from the city in view of Ayudha Pooja festival. The arrangement has been made to ensure public commute from the city without any hassles, ahead of the festival.
Special buses are being operated by the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) and the State Express Transport Corporation (SETC) from Chennai, for the convenience of passengers. Special buses are scheduled to be operated on Tuesday and Wednesday from three places -- Tambaram Railway Station Bus Stand, Poonamallee Bus Stand and Koyambedu Bus Stand.
A crowd comprising farmers, researchers, professors, students, and horticulture enthusiasts thronged the ICAR-Indian Institute of Horticultural Research (IIHR), Hesaraghatta, Bengaluru, on Friday for the inaugural ceremony of the Triphal Diversity Show which showcased 300 mango, 100 jackfruit, and 100 banana genotypes in collaboration with ICAR-National Research Centre for Banana, Tiruchirappalli.
The State government on Friday constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT), headed by Additional Director-General of Police, Manish Kharbikar of the Economic Offences division of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to probe the alleged multi-crore scam in the government-run Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation.
