
Chennai tops in percentage of population vaccinated, Bengaluru ranked second among 5 metro cities

In terms of fully vaccinating its eligible population, Chennai fared better, with 12 per cent of the city's total population receiving both doses of the Covid-19 vaccines. With 10 per cent of its population immunised, Bengaluru is in second place.
The Chennai corporation on Friday announced that the city has vaccinated the highest percentage of eligible people among the five metros. Chennai has vaccinated more than 15 per cent of its eligible population, compared to Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Delhi.
