
Chandigarh estate services go online after SC pulls up UT administration on harassment complaints

The project, launched after one-and-a-half-year efforts, covers 40,000 core resident and commercial properties of Chandigarh. All the applications will be made online and citizens can access information with a single click.
UT administrator Banwarilal Purohit launched the website and online services of the Estate office in Chandigarh in a bid to ensure transparency and ease of access. According to a report published in The Tribune, a total of five services will be available on the estate office website estateoffice.chd.gov.in and eleven more will be launched in the next two phases in October.
The project, launched after one-and-a-half-year efforts, covers 40,000 core resident and commercial properties of Chandigarh and also includes houses, showrooms, shops and other buildings. The office has partnered with the State Bank of India (SBI) for online payment for its services.
