Centre disempowering people of Kashmir: Mehbooba Mufti targets Modi govt

PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti hit out at the Centre, alleging that it was “disempowering” the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti on Friday hit out at the central government, alleging that it was “disempowering” the people of the Union Territory.

Mehbooba Mufti accused the central government of suspecting the people of Jammu and Kashmir for having alleged links with militants. She said this charge was being used as a new excuse to “dispossess and humiliate” Kashmiris.
