CBI files FIR in Bardhaman case of West Bengal post-poll violence

In connection with post-poll violence in West Bengal, the CBI has filed an FIR against unknown Trinamool Congress workers for allegedly thrashing a BJP supporter in West Bengal’s Bardhaman.

In the latest update in West Bengal post-poll violence cases, the Central Bureau of Investigation has filed an FIR against alleged unknown Trinamool Congress workers for thrashing a BJP supporter in Bardhaman. The BJP supporter died about two weeks later.

The CBI, which is investigating post-poll violence cases in West Bengal, has filed the FIR in this incident under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code.
