
CBI arrests Rail Coach Factory engineer in Punjab for taking Rs 1 lakh bribe from contractor

The Central Bureau of Investigation laid a trap in Kapurthala and caught the Railways officer red-handed while demanding and accepting Rs 1 lakh from a contractor.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a senior officer of Indian Railways in Punjab for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 1 lakh from a contractor, officials said. According to the FIR filed by CBI, Rail Coach Factory principal chief engineer Suresh Chand Meena was arrested for taking bribes from a contractor who was undertaking work related to the civilian horticulture of the factory. Meena was taking bribes in connection with payment-related work in his office, CBI said.More Related News
