Car fired upon in Delhi’s Lajpat Nagar, police suspects gang war

Unidentified assailants opened fire at a car in Delhi’s Lajpat Nagar area on Wednesday afternoon. Police prima facie suspects a gang war behind the incident.

Unidentified assailants opened fire at a car in Delhi’s Lajpat Nagar area on Wednesday afternoon. The passengers in the car managed to escape unhurt.

There were two people, identified as Jaswinder and Kapil, in the white Maruti Suzuki car when it was fired upon at around 4:30 pm. They raced the damaged car through the city for four kilometers and hid in Nizamuddin Railway Station to save their lives.

Police prima facie suspects a gang war and has started an investigation into the incident.
