BSNL will no longer allow prepaid payments for its DSL broadband plans. It is now shifting existing prepaid broadband users to postpaid broadband plans.
Government-owned telco Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) rolled out some changes where its broadband plans are concerned. It regularised its Rs 449 fiber broadband plan. Now it's bringing some changes where its DSL broadband plans are concerned. BSNL will no longer allow prepaid payments for its DSL broadband plans. It is now shifting existing prepaid broadband users to postpaid broadband plans. Prepaid users had more control over their prepaid broadband plans including mobility, control on internet charges, and sharing of DSL broadband connections. Besides, users could move to other plans as per their choice after their payment for a plan would get over. The plans started from Rs 200 per month and BSNL’s prepaid broadband customers could use their broadband account anywhere in the country and also could share it with people using broadband connections. The telco has decided to move users to postpaid broadband plans since there were not many customers who opted for the prepaid broadband service. The development was first noted by Kerala Telecom.More Related News
