Britney Spears's song with Elton John, Hold Me Closer, is finally out. It is her first song in six years.
Britney Spears is back! The Princess of Pop finally made her musical comeback on Friday with the release of a duet song, Hold Me Closer, with Elton John.
The song is a peppy rendition of John’s 1971 song Tiny Dancer. The song was released earlier today and marked Britney’s first music project in six years. The 2016 album Glory was the last time she officially released music.
Ahead of the release of her comeback song, Britney Spears deleted her Instagram account. She later took to Twitter to express her excitement about the new release.
“Okie Dokie, my first song in 6 years. It’s pretty damn cool that I’m singing with one of the most classic men of our time," Spears wrote in a tweet this week.

The 40-year-old Toxic singer also added that she was a bit overwhelmed. “I’m kinda overwhelmed it’s a big deal to me,” she wrote.
