British financier Ben Goldsmith has come out in support of Pakistan's ex-PM Imran Khan, hours after he lost the no-trust vote in the National Assembly. Ben Goldsmith is the brother of Jemima Goldsmith, who was married to Imran Khan for 9 years.
Hours after Imran Khan became the first prime minister of Pakistan to be removed from office through a no-confidence motion, British financier and environmentalist Ben Goldsmith came out in his support on Twitter. Ben Goldsmith is the brother of Jemima Goldsmith, who was married to Imran Khan from 1995 to 2004.
On Sunday, Ben Goldsmith tweeted that Imran Khan was a "good and honourable man" who was motivated "only by a strong desire to do good by his country".
He also said that Imran Khan's record was exceptional, especially in relation to environmental issues.
