After ruling the box office all through September, Brahmastra is now witnessing a steady drop. The film is facing competition from Vikram Vedha and Ponniyin Selvan.

It would be safe to assume that Bollywood was finally saved by Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's Brahmastra. The film fared well at the national and overseas box office. Brahmastra is now in its fourth week and is still running in theatres. After minting Rs 260 crore at the domestic box office and Rs 400 crore globally, Brahmastra has now witnessed a dip due to competition from Vikram Vedha and Ponniyin Selvan.

Brahmastra released on September 9 in multiple languages and was a hit at the box office. It minted Rs 75 crore globally on its opening day, and did fairly well all through September. Brahmastra has entered the fourth week and is now witnessing a dip. The film is now facing competition from Vikram Vedha and Ponniyin Selvan, which clashed at the box office on September 30. On Day 21, Ayan Mukherji’s film had managed to collect Rs 260 crore overall.

Brahmastra is a superhero drama that revolves around a simpleton who shares a special bond with fire. It features Alia Bhatt as the leading lady and marks her first collaboration with Ranbir Kapoor. The cast includes Nagarjuna, Mouni Roy and Amitabh Bachchan. It is directed by Ayan Mukerji. Shah Rukh Khan has a cameo in the movie. Brahmastra opened in the theatres on September 9.

The storyline of Brahmastra follows Shiva, a DJ, who learns about his strange connection with the element of fire. While he emerges as the Agni Astra himself, the film follows his strange connection with the Brahmastra, a supernatural weapon that is said to be able to destroy the universe. On the other hand, Junoon (Mouni Roy), the pawn of the dark forces, is also on a quest to get hold of the Brahmastra.
