A tragic accident near the Chief Minister's residence in Chhattisgarh claimed the life of a young boy while his sister fights for survival.
A morning walk to school turned tragic on Friday after a traffic police tow van allegedly rammed into a brother and sister from behind near the Chief Minister’s residence in Chhattisgarh, killing the boy on the spot and leaving his sister battling for life.
The accident, which took place in the early hours, sent shockwaves through the area, with residents and passers-by rushing to help the injured children as traffic came to a halt.
According to police, the siblings, both students of a private school, were on their way to classes when the tow vehicle struck them from behind.
The impact proved fatal for the brother, who died at the scene. His sister sustained severe injuries and was immediately taken to Ambedkar Hospital for emergency treatment.
Hospital sources said her condition remains critical.
Soon after the collision, the driver of the tow van allegedly abandoned the vehicle and fled from the spot.
