Bounce is all set to launch its first consumer electric scooter, Bounce Infinity, on December 2, 2021, and will also commence with the pre-bookings for the electric scooter at Rs 499 on the same day. The deliveries are set to begin early next year. The indigenous electric scooter from Bounce is manufactured from the Bhiwadi, Rajasthan plant of 22Motors, which it acquired a 100 per cent stake in for $7 million earlier this year.
Bounce will offer the Bounce Infinity electric scooter in two formats, with a battery pack or without one, as the removable Li-ion battery can also be purchased off the market at a nominal rate if required. Moreover, the company also plans to introduce a ‘Battery as a service’ option, where customers will have an option to purchase Bounce Infinity at an affordable price without the battery and use Bounce’s extensive battery-swapping network. Bounce says customers will only have to pay for the battery swaps whenever they exchange an empty battery for a fully-charged one from Bounce’s swapping network.
