Hearing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) against frequent bandhs, the Bombay High Court has asked whether court directions to governments and political parties will have any effect.
Julio Rebeiro, Gerson Da Cunha, Dattatraya Sukthankar and Cyrus Guzder had approached the high court with a PIL, praying that the court should declare the bandh called on October 11 by Shiv Sena, Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in Maharashtra unconstitutional and illegal.
