BJP named Mangala Angadi, wife of late union minister Suresh Angadi, as candidate for by-polls to Belgaum constituency.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday fielded Mangala Angadi, wife of Late Union Minister Suresh Angadi, as its candidate for the Lok Sabha by-poll to the Belgaum constituency in Karnataka. The seat fell vacant, following the death of union minister Suresh Angadi, last year due to Covid-19. According to a statement issued by the party, BJP has also fielded K Ratna Prabha, a former IAS officer, from Tirupati Lok Sabha constituency in Andhra Pradesh.More Related News

As per the Bill, those involved in unlawful conversions on the pretext of marriage will be punished with imprisonment of seven years and shall also be liable for a fine of Rs 1 lakh. Violations in respect of a minor, a person of unsound mind, a woman or a person belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe will be punished with imprisonment of seven years and a fine of Rs 5 lakh.
