Bihar receives India Today Tourism award

The India Today Group hosts an annual event to announce the winners of the Tourism Survey—an exercise that focuses on the efforts of India’s many energetic state tourism bodies.

Bihar received the prestigious India Today Tourism award with Bodh Gaya in the state’s Gaya district adjudged the runner-up as the Best Spiritual Destination in the spiritual category.

G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister for Culture, Tourism and Development of the North-Eastern Region, gave the awards at a function held in New Delhi on Friday. Bihar Tourism Secretary Santosh Kumar Mall received the award on behalf of the state.
