Bengali actress Pratyusha Paul receives rape threats on Instagram, files complaint

Bengali television actress Pratyusha Paul filed a complaint with the Cyber Cell of Kolkata Police recently. She received rape threats from an anonymous user on Instagram.

Cyber Cell of Kolkata Police lodged a case after popular Bengali TV actor Pratyusha Paul filed a complaint on alleged online harassment. Pratyusha claimed that she received rape threats from an anonymous online account on Instagram. Speaking exclusively to India Today, the actor claimed that it started in July 2020, when an anonymous account started sending her lewd messages on Instagram. She tried reporting it to the police, however, she was advised by her near ones to not pay attention to it.
