SCR Railway Protection Force Chief Security Commissioner directs force to be on high alert for 'Operation Sindoor' against Pakistan.
SCR Railway Protection Force Chief Security Commissioner (RPF-CSC) Md. Shadan Zeb Khan on Saturday (May 10) asked the force to be on high alert, in the wake of ‘Operation Sindoor’ against Pakistan.
The CSC discussed the security of passengers and railway properties in Vijayawada and other major railway stations with Senior Divisional Security Commissioner Valleswara B. Thokala and other officers.
He directed Assistant Security Commissioner Kota Joji, Crime Intelligence Branch inspector K. Madhusudhan and RPF Inspector Baig to monitor CCTV footage and keep a tab on the movement of suspicious individuals.
“At this juncture, every citizen is a jawan. We have received directions from the Centre on ‘Operation Sindoor’, and the RPF is on high alert,” Mr. Shadan Khan, who is also the RPF-DIG, said.
Leaves of all RPF officers and staff have been cancelled until further orders, the CSC said and directed the force to conduct surprise checks at stations and vital installations.
Security has been tightened at all railway stations, and the passengers are requested to alert the force or the police if they spot anything suspicious, Mr. Shadan Khan said.
