Basava Jayanthi: ‘Anubhava Mantapa Ratha’ visits Mysuru

Experience the Anubhava Mantapa Ratha's journey across Karnataka for Basava Jayanthi celebrations on April 30.
The Anubhava Mantapa Ratha (tableau), which is travelling across the State in view of the Basava Jayanthi, which is celebrated on April 30, arrived in Mysuru on Friday.
The district administration, the Department of Kannada and Culture, and members of various organisations welcomed the ratha at the Kote Anjaneyaswamy temple outside the palace.
The ratha was flagged off by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah at Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru on Thursday. It will move across various districts in the State before reaching Kudalasangama in Bagalkot, where the State government was organising a programme under the title “Anubhava Mantapa – Basavadi Sharanara Vaibhava” on April 30 on the occasion of Basava Jayanthi.
The team of officials was led by Additional Deputy Commissioner Shivaraj.
A farewell was also given to the ratha after the formal event, as the ratha will later travel to various districts in the coming days before reaching the birthplace of the social reformer Basavanna.
Joint Director of the Department of Kannada and Culture V.S. Mallikarjunaswamy, Deputy Director Sudhashan, and other officials and representatives of associations and organisations were present.
