Barack and Michelle Obama write heartfelt notes for daughter Malia on her birthday

Barack Obama and Michelle Obama shared heartfelt notes for their daughter Malia on her 24th birthday.

Former US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama celebrated their daughter Malia’s birthday on July 4. The couple’s elder daughter turned 24 on Monday. Both of them took to social media and penned heartfelt birthday wishes for Malia.

Barack Obama shared an adorable throwback picture in which he is seen lovingly looking at Malia. “Happy birthday, Malia! No matter how sophisticated, accomplished, beautiful, and gracious a young woman you’ve become—you’ll always be my baby. And I will always be here to lift you up,” he wrote in the caption as he shared the endearing photo.

Michelle Obama also celebrated her daughter’s birthday with a priceless photo from her childhood. She also penned a love-filled note on the joyous occasion and expressed that she is proud of her daughter.

“Happy birthday, Malia - and Happy Fourth of July, everybody! 24 years ago, this day became extra special when your wonderful spirit arrived in this world. I’m so proud of the beautiful, caring, and driven young woman you’ve become. I love you so, so much! Love, your Mommy,” she wrote.

Barack Obama married Michelle in 1992. The couple welcomed Malia in 1998 and Sasha in 2001.
