Bajaj has just launched the newest entry segment NS 125, that slots in under the NS 160 with similar styling and the same chassis, we take a closer look at the new NS.
Bajaj Auto has launched the new Pulsar NS 125 in India with a starting price of Rs 93,690 ex-showroom. The new NS takes its place as the smallest displacement motorcycle in the series, and will look create a take on the value-for-money side of the premium 125cc segment. While we are yet to ride the motorcycle, I imagine the NS to be a middle point between the 125 Duke and the standard Pulsar 125 that was launched a few years earlier.Visually the motorcycle is a scaled down version of the NS 160, and share its bodywork and frame with the former NS entry spec machine. The NS 125does benefit from some vibrant paint schemes including Beach Blue, Fiery Orange, Burnt Red and Pewter Grey. The perimeter frame is suspended between a pair of telescopes upfront from the Pulsar 125 while at back is the nitrox charged mono-shock from the NS 160 which should improve handling. Powering the NS 125 is a 125cc BS6 compliant DTS-i motor which makes 12bhp and 11Nm of torque. Interestingly while the power outputs may indicate that this is the same motor used in the Pulsar 125, a close visual inspection of the plumbing and the casting, would lead us to believe that this is a brand-new motor, likely sized down from the Pulsar NS 160.
