Bachchhan Paandey box office collection Day 9: Akshay, Kriti-starrer earns Rs 50 crore

Akshay Kumar-starrer Bachchhan Paandey opened to a lukewarm response. The film has till now earned Rs 50 crore.

Akshay Kumar's Bachchhan Paandey is not doing great at the ticket windows. With back to back hit releases including The Kashmir Files and RRR, Akshay's film is failing to impress. Though it opened to mixed reviews, the film is not doing great business. Bachchhan Paandey, also starring Jacqueline Fernandez and Kriti Sanon, was released on March 18.

Right from the opening day, Bachchhan Paandey's box office collection has not been impressive. The film follows an aspiring filmmaker (Kriti) studying a gangster (Akshay) for her gangster film.

According to a report by Koimoi, the film has finally entered the Rs 50 crore club during the second weekend. However, it faces stiff competition from RRR.

RRR collected over Rs 240 crore net on its first day at the box office.

Bachchhan Paandey is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and written by Nischay Kuttanda and director Farhad Samji. Besides Akshay, Jacqueline Fernandez and Kriti Sanon, the film also features Arshad Warsi, Pankaj Tripathi, Prateik Babbar, Abhimanyu Singh, Snehal Daabbi and Saharsh Kumar Shukla. Bachchhan Paandey was earlier set to premiere on December 25, 2020. However, the release date was pushed and Farhad Samji’s directorial will now release theatrically on March 18, 2022. The story revolves around an aspiring director (Kriti) who wants to make a film on a deadly gangster (Akshay).
