Audi unveiled the first member of a new family of concept vehicles, a spectacular roadster, called Audi Skysphere, which is an electric-powered, two-door convertible that showcases the brand’s design of tomorrow. The focus of the Audi Skysphere is its interior, which not only offers an interactive space, but also brings in autonomous driving in a digital ecosystem. Designed for grand touring and a sports experience, the Audi Skysphere makes use of a variable wheelbase, essentially meaning that it can adjust its length by 250mm depending on the drive mode, along with adjusting its ground clearance by 10mm. The front end Audi Skysphere, although no longer serving as a radiator grill, features the brand’s typical single frame and a three-dimensionally designed, illuminated emblem with four rings. The entire single frame and also the adjacent surfaces on the sides are designed with white LED elements, both functional effects as well as moving welcome sequences when the vehicle is opened and closed. The DRLs in the front side sections, in turn, give the lighting units a resolute, focused gaze. If the wheelbase is changed, the LEDs in the front and rear display a composed dynamic sequence. The rear end is also dominated by a digitally controlled LED surface that extends across the entire width of the vehicle.More Related News
