Attack on federalism: Non-BJP parties in Punjab pass resolution against expansion of BSF jurisdiction

All political parties in Punjab, except the BJP, passed a resolution against the Centre's move to expand the jurisdiction of the BSF from 15 kilometres to 50 kms along the international border in Punjab.

Calling it an 'attack on federalism', political parties in Punjab on Monday passed a resolution against the Centre's move to expand the jurisdiction of the BSF from 15 kilometres to 50 kilometres along the international border in Punjab.

Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi convened an all-party meeting, which was also attended by members from the Aam Aadmi Party and Shiromani Akali Dal. The BJP, however, decided to skip the meeting.
