A restaurant in Gurgaon's Palam Vihar, has introduced robots to deliver food, prompting mixed reactions from customers and raising questions about technology's role in the service sector.
From traditional Indian snacks to cutting-edge automation, a Gurgaon eatery is blending old and new in a way that has grabbed social media attention. Robots are now serving customers at Om Sweets in Gurgaon’s Palam Vihar.
A video circulating on social media shows one such robot in action. Designed with four shelves to hold multiple plates, the machine carefully transports orders across the restaurant floor.
In one clip, it carries a serving of honey chilli potato, stops precisely at the designated table, and waits as customers pick up their food. From chole bhature to dosas and desserts, the robot appears to handle a variety of items with ease.
