The Assam government has decided to hold the Class 10 and Class 12 board exams in July or August if the Covid-19 positivity rate drops below 2%, informed Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday. Addressing a press conference in Guwahati, Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the guardians of the students and several students’ organizations are in favour to hold the state board exams. “We also want to hold the examination in mid of July in a suitable environment for the students. If the Covid-19 positivity rate comes down below 2 percent in the first week of July then we will hold the examinations,” said the CM.
