
Assam govt tables bill in Assembly to amend four-month-old cattle preservation law

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma tabled the The Assam Cattle Preservation (Amendment) Bill, 2021 in the state Assembly on Monday.
In a major development, the BJP-led Assam government on Monday tabled the amendment bill for modification of the Assam Cattle Preservation Act in the Assam Legislative Assembly on the first day of the winter session of the state assembly.
The amendment bill The Assam Cattle Preservation (Amendment) Bill, 2021 is seeking several modifications to the earlier bill which was passed in August this year.
