
Assam Congress supports cancellation of Class 10 and 12 board exams

Assam Congress has favoured cancellation of board examinations for the Class 10th and 12th standards in the state and has asked the state government to take the decision regarding the same soon.
Amid the second wave of Covid-19, several states have cancelled the Class 10 and 12 board exams. Several students have been demanding to cancel the state board exams in Assam. Following this, the opposition, Congress, on Monday, favored the cancellation of Class 10 and 12 board exams and urged the state government to decide the same as soon as possible. Assam Congress President Ripun Bora wrote a letter to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma requesting him to immediately formulate a mechanism or an evaluation scheme in order to cope with CBSE's internal assessment after cancellation of examinations by the central board. "I am looking forward to seeing how your government will take a very pragmatic decision in favour of the students. I hope the decision is conveyed to the students, parents, and teachers at the earliest with the aim to end their months of distress," Bora added in the letter.
Students who appeared for the Bihar School Examination Board Class 12 exams can now access their results through multiple platforms, including the India Today Board Results page for smoother and quicker access. With heavy traffic expected on official websites, this alternative option ensures students can check their scores without delays or technical glitches.
