Filmmaker Apurva Asrani took to Instagram and announced the end of his 14-year-long relationship with Siddhant.

Filmmaker Apurva Asrani announced that he and his partner, musician Siddhant Pillai have decided to go their separate ways after 14 years of relationship. The duo was one of the first LGBTQ couples from Bollywood who came out in the open and declared their love for each other. For 13 years we pretended to be cousins so we could rent a home together. We were told 'keep curtains drawn so neighbors don't know 'what' you are'. We recently bought our own home. Now we voluntarily tell neighbors we are partners . It's time LGBTQ families are normalised too. pic.twitter.com/kZ9t9Wnc7i In an Instagram post on Saturday (April 3), Apurva announced that he and Siddhant have decided to call it quits and that they 'made some mistakes along the way'. He also added that 'same-sex couples in India have no role models to seek inspiration from'.
