Apple is expected to roll out over 20 products in 2026, with new iPhones, iPads, Macs, wearables, and smart home devices lined up across the year.
If the leaks and reports are anywhere close to accurate, 2026 could feel like a never-ending launch season for Apple fans. The company is said to be preparing more than 20 product announcements this year, covering everything from iPhones and iPads to Macs, wearables, and even new smart home devices. Some of these updates are expected and routine, while others could quietly change how Apple fits into everyday life at home and on the move.
The year is likely to begin with familiar devices getting timely upgrades. Apple is tipped to introduce the iPhone 17e in the first half of 2026, a refreshed version of the iPhone 16e with an A19 chip at its core. MagSafe support and a Dynamic Island are also expected, making the phone feel closer to Apple’s premium lineup than earlier “e” models. Around the same time, the iPad Air could move from the M3 to the M4 chip, while the regular iPad may jump to either an A18 or A19 processor.
Mac users may have plenty to look forward to early in the year as well. The MacBook Air is said to move to the M5 chip, while the MacBook Pro lineup could get M5 Pro and M5 Max processors along with PCIe 5.0 support for faster storage speeds. Apple is also rumoured to be working on a lower-cost MacBook powered by the A18 Pro chip, featuring a 12.9-inch display and brighter colour options, possibly aimed at students and casual users.
Desktop hardware and displays are also part of Apple’s early-year plans. A refreshed Mac Studio with M5 Max and M5 Ultra chips is expected, and the Studio Display may finally get long-requested upgrades like Mini-LED backlighting, ProMotion with up to a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR support, and a newer A-series chip inside.
One of the more interesting launches expected before mid-year is Apple’s smart home hub. This device is said to feature a 6 to 7-inch display that can sit on a table or be mounted on a wall, powered by an A18 chip and designed around a more personalised version of Siri. FaceTime support is also expected. Alongside it, Apple may introduce its own HomeKit-enabled security camera, designed to work closely with the new hub.
The second half of 2026 is where things could get more exciting. Apple is reportedly preparing the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max with the new A20 Pro chip. These models may come with a narrower Dynamic Island, a simplified camera control setup, and variable aperture for at least one rear camera. Other features being talked about include web browsing via satellite and Apple’s in-house C2 modem for 5G. The Pro Max variant could be slightly thicker, possibly to accommodate battery or camera changes.

US authorities have arrested Super Micro Computer Co-founder Wally Liaw for allegedly smuggling $2.5 billion worth of Nvidia-powered AI servers to China. The case comes at a time when the US is tightening export rules to stop advanced AI hardware from reaching China amid the growing AI rivalry between the two countries.

Screen addiction is no longer just a Gen Z problem. According to recent studies and reports, elderly are now spending just as much, if not more, time on smartphones, TVs and social media. Researchers say this rising screen time among boomers and retirees may also have serious effects on their health.
