The Cupertino-giant has urged all its users to update to the latest version because it brings important security fixes for critical vulnerabilities that have been discovered. The latest update fixes a security flaw in Webkit, a browser engine that is used in the Safari web browser. Apple had earlier revealed that the Webkit flaw may have been exploited. Apart from the iOS 14.4.2, Apple has also released iPadOS 14.4.2, and watchOS 7.3.3 to fix the vulnerability found in the Webkit. Apple in its support page stated that a security vulnerability has been found in the Webkit, which is used in iPhone 6s and later, iPad Pro (all models), iPad Air 2 and later, iPad 5th generation and later, iPad mini 4 and later, and iPod touch (7th generation). The Cupertino-giant said that the flaw could lead to universal cross-site scripting. Apple stated that it was aware of the bug. “Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been actively exploited,” the note read. Users who have iPhone 6s and later can update their phones to the latest iOS 14.2.2 to fix the vulnerability found in the webkit. iPad users with iPad Pro (all models), iPad Air 2 and later, iPad 5th generation and later, iPad mini 4 and later can update their devices to iPadOS 14.2.2. For Apple Watch users, the update applies to Apple Watch Series 3 and later. To download the latest iOS update, go to your Settings > Software Update and tap on Install Now.
