Anil Kapoor reveals he turned down a global film franchise. Says 'Scene samajh mein nahi aya'

Anil Kapoor is known as the man who ceases to age. Not just Bollywood, the actor has spread his wings in Hollywood projects as well. Up next, Anil will be a part of Jugjugg Jeeyo. He also has projects such as Animal, and others, in the pipeline. Recently, Anil shared that he turned down a global film franchise because he didn’t understand the scene properly and if it goes wrong, he’d be ‘exposed’ globally.

Anil Kapoor has been a part of international films such as Slumdog Millionaire, Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol. The actor shared that he turned down a role in a huge global franchise where he had just two days of work. But he refused it because he didn’t get the scene. In an interview with Film Companion, Anil said, “I read the scene. Ek toh mere ko scene samajh mein nahi aya kya tha. (I did not understand what was happening in the scene). Then the director of that franchise called me up, and said that 'I want you to do it'. The entire foreign set of friends of mine said that 'if you can have this film in your resume, then that's enough’.”

He further added, “I said I am not going to do it. Ek toh mere ko scene hi samajh nahi aaya (I did not understand the scene), and then if I go wrong that day, I will be exposed all over the planet.”

Anil Kapoor’s first release of 2022 was Thar with his son Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor. Up next, he has Jugjugg Jeeyo with Neetu Kapoor, Kiara Advani and Varun Dhawan. Apart from this, he also has Fighter with Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna’s Animal.
