Anek box office collection Day 2: Ayushmann Khurrana's film fails to deliver, earns Rs 4 crore

Helmed by Anubhav Sinha and starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Anek is not doing great at the box office. The film was released on May 27.

Ayushmann Khurrana's starrer Anek opened to good reviews. However, the film has not managed to pull audience to theatres and on its opening day managed to collect Rs 1.75 crore. The film, which highlights the insurgency in North-East India and the need for a unified India, has been directed by Anubhav Sinha and produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Anubhav Sinha's Benaras Mediaworks.

Ayushmann Khurrana's Anek, according to a report by Filmibeat, the film collected anything between Rs 2-3 crore on Saturday, May 28, taking the total collection closer to Rs 4 crore. This is very low compared to Kartik Aaryan's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Anek's collection is 5-6 times lower than Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.

Starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Andrea Kevichusa in the lead role, Anek is jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Anubhav Sinha's Benaras Mediaworks. The film has been shot in Northeast India. Ayushmann said that Anek will "usher in a different language of cinema."

Anek marks the second collaboration between Ayushmann and director Anubhav after the 2019 film Article 15.
