Android 12 to bring a default share menu for all apps, block customised share menus by third-party apps

In a bid to introduce uniformity, Google will block third-party apps from creating their share sheets on Android 12.
Among several upgrades that the Android 12 is slated to bring, it is now being hinted that the operating system will block any third-party app from coming up with its share sheet. To date, Android has no such restriction in place, as several apps offer their share menu to users. It is being reported that the move to block third party sharing menus is a deliberate one by Google. With this, the company wishes to bring uniformity to the sharing options menu that users see upon attempting to share something across apps. For those unaware, Android Sharesheet is the menu that lists all the possible sharing options in an app. It appears from the bottom when users hit the share button inside an app.
