Andrew Gunn, a film and TV producer known for his work on beloved Disney movies like "Freaky Friday" and "Sky High," has died after a battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS. He was 58.
"He was a courageous and modest man always doing for others before himself. His love of family, friends, motorcycles and tattoos will long be remembered by those who knew him," Gunn's wife, Jane Bellamy Gunn, said in a statement to USA TODAY.
Andrew Gunn was diagnosed with Bulbar-onset ALS, a form of the rare neurodegenerative disease, in September 2025 after experiencing symptoms for more than two years, his wife said.
The producer leaves behind his wife; two children, Isabelle and Connor Gunn; mother Anne Gunn; and siblings Hilary Knight, Graeme Gunn and Cameron Gunn.
