A 27-year-old woman jumped off a moving train with her two-year-old son in Andhra Pradesh's Chittoor district on Sunday. The duo died on the spot.
A 27-year-old woman allegedly killed herself and her two-month-old son by jumping off a moving train in Srikalahasti mandal of Andhra Pradesh's Chittoor district on Sunday. The woman was identified as Chandana, a resident of Korlagunta in Tirupati and worked as a ward volunteer in the ninth division of the municipal corporation, the Government Railway Police (GRP) was quoted as saying by The Times of India.
The incident occurred when the procession was passing near a mosque in Karnataka's Bagalkote when the Hindu organisation alleged that stones were pelted. Later, police arrested 8 people and prohibited people from gathering. The police have maintained that no one suffered major injury.
