Andhra Pradesh Government extends DSC upper age limit to 44 years as one-time measure for Mega DSC recruitment.
The Andhra Pradesh Government on April 17, 2025 issued orders relaxing the upper age limit for the District Selection Committee (DSC) applicants from the existing 42 years to 44 years.
The government, in its Order, iterated that it is a one-time measure and a special case for the Mega District Selection Committee recruitment and subject to a condition that no other relaxation in age criteria in any other terms and conditions of employees such as promotions, pensions, departmental exams, fundamental rules, leave rules etc., may be sought after selection of candidates who availed this relaxation.
The government fixed the cut off date for calculating the age as July 1, 2024. The order will provide relief to many aspirants who were rendered ineligible for the DSC owing to the seven-year delay in the release of DSC notification, said members of A.P. Nirudhyoga Joint Action Committee.
