Amrita Vidyalayam marks 25 years with world records

Amrita Vidyalayam, Coimbatore, set 27 world records as part of the Amrita Vidyalayam World Records Festival 2025 — an event organised to mark the school’s 25th year of educational service, the institution said in a press release.
Managed by the Mata Amritanandamayi Math, the school celebrated this milestone by bringing together students, teachers, and staff in a collaborative effort.
As per a press release from the institution, the records were certified by Elite World Records, Asian Records Academy, India Records Academy, and the Tamilan Book of Records, under the close supervision of 27 adjudicators from three countries and seven different Indian States.
The event took place from April 3 to April 8, and various schools participated. The citation ceremony of the event was held on April 11 at Nallampalayam, Coimbatore. A total of 3,091 students from Pre-KG to Grade XII, along with 154 dedicated educators and 150 supporting staff, took part, the release said.
The 27-world records spanned a wide range of disciplines. These included a special record dedicated to Amma, alongside achievements in art craft with four records, and academic excellence that accounted for eleven records.
The students also excelled in dance, securing one record and showcased their physical prowess with two sports records. As per the release, their commitment to environmental care was highlighted by three records in environment and sustainability, while their cognitive abilities were displayed in the memory and mind skills category, earning one record.
The festival also celebrated literary talent, with two records in literature and language, and spiritual unity was expressed through two records in spiritual cultural expressions.
