Amol Palekar hospitalised in Pune, wife Sandhya shares health update

Amol Palekar has been admitted to a hospital in Pune due to prolonged illness. His wife Sandhya Gokhale said his condition is fine.

Veteran actor Amol Palekar has been admitted to Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune. His wife Sandhya Gokhale shared his health update. Revealing that Amol is suffering from prolonged illness, she said now his condition is fine.

Amol Palekar is a well-known actor. Sharing his health update, his wife Sandhya Gokhale told ABP Live, “There is nothing to worry about Amol Palekar's health. He is recovering and his condition is better than before." When asked about the cause of hospitalisation, she said, “This is an old illness. Due to excessive smoking, he was admitted to hospital 10 years ago as well. But his condition is fine.”

Amol Palekar made his debut with Marathi film, Shantata! Court Chalu Aahe in 1971. His first Bollywood film was Basu Bhattacharya’s Rajnigandha in 1974, in which he was opposite Rakhee. His notable works include Gol Maal, Shriman Shrimati and Chhoti Si Baat.
