Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Lok Sabha MP and actor Amol Kolhe is getting a mixed reaction from his party men for playing the role of Nathuram Godse, the killer of Mahatma Gandhi, in a short film titled, Why I Killed Gandhi. While the film was made in 2017, it is being released on an OTT platform on January 30.
Amol Kolhe, an actor by profession, found fame in his role of Chhatrapati Shivaji in the Marathi TV show Raja Shivchatrapati. He later started getting involved in politics and was a star campaigner for Shiv Sena in 2014. However, he joined the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in February 2019.
